My Weekly Flow When Prepping for Baby #7

January 28, 2026 by GrowingConfident Leave a Comment

During my last pregnancy I wrote a post on How I am Preparing for Baby #6. In it I detailed the things I like to accomplish before Baby arrives. Today I am going to show you how I realistically gets those things done throughout the week while also have numerous other responsibilities to keep up with. Keep reading to see My Weekly Flow When Prepping for Baby #7 at 37 weeks pregnant.

Sunday

My plans for this day had to be adjusted. A pinched nerve in my back started hurting soon after I woke up and got worse as I was going about my Morning Routine. I spent the rest of the day resting in bed… not that I am complaining. 🙂

Monday

Between 12- 2a I dealt with insomnia. During this time, I headed downstairs so as not to bother anyone. Watched some YouTube Videos. Made a grocery list for a shopping trip planned later in the week. Looked at my calendar to see what all I had planned for the week. Around 130a I went back to bed and read for about 30+ minutes before falling back to sleep.

Once everyone was awake by 8a, we began our Morning Routine and completed as much schoolwork as possible before lunch. Sam had to head into town for some work errands and asked if the Kids and I wanted to tag along. We made sure to be ready by 1p when he picked us up. After running his errands, we went into Kroger to purchase some Weekly Deal items. Then before heading home, I was able to get some coffee at my favorite local coffee shop. Once home the Kids played outside until dinner. Then I did a quick cleaning of the house after the Boys were in bed. On this particular day I didn’t get anything completed when it came to Prepping for Baby #7.

Tuesday

The Kids were up around 8a again. Currently rather than having a set wake up time for myself, once I hear Kids moving around, I wake up. Brush my teeth, and herd Kids downstairs where we begin our Morning Routine. On this day my Mom showed up around 9a to help with the Kids, and any Prepping for Baby #7 that I wanted to accomplish. School got underway and as Kids finished, they went to play outside. until Lunch, then Quiet Time.

Once Kids were down for Quiet Time my Mom helped me with some Meal Prep for Baby #7. We made and froze Chicken Spaghetti and Chicken Casserole for meals to have Postpartum. Olivia helped make some Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Brownies that we ate for dessert that evening. We also froze half to enjoy Postpartum. Sam got home early this day around 4p so we went on a Mini Date of thrifting and furniture shopping while my Mom stayed home with the Kids. On the way home we picked up Dominos for an easy dinner. After my Mom left for the evening and Boys were in bed, I finished cleaning up the house before heading to bed.

Wednesday

Everyone was awake by 8a and our Morning Routine begins. This flowed into School Time, Lunch, and Quiet Time. Sam was off this day and helped me quickly clean up as we had a Midwife Home Visit at 2p. We had moved since My Successful Home Birth with Baby #6 and they wanted to see our new place. As well as make sure I had everything ready to go for Baby #7’s Home Birth.

After the Midwives left the Kids played outside until dinner. We have had some Spring/Summer weather here in Georgia even though it is early January. The Kids are soaking up that outside time until it becomes too cold for that. After our Evening Routine is completed and the Boys were in bed for the night, Sam and I enjoyed a relaxing evening

Thursday

On Thursday we were lucky to have Sam home again as he had some Holiday Hours to use up this week. With him home I was able to get some Prepping for Baby #7 completed. We all slept until 8a then were up and began our Morning Routine. Rather than do book work with Olivia this day she ran errands with me and did what we call Life School. Olivia did the shopping at the Grocery Store while I followed her around pushing the shopping cart. With shopping list in hand, she had to find the items in the store and keep a running total of the items in our cart, so she didn’t overspend the amount we had set for groceries that week. We also ran to the Bank and stopped by a local Thrift Store before heading home for Lunch.

After Quiet Time the Kids played outside, and I got to work on some more Meal Prep for Baby #7. That morning, I had fed my Sourdough Starter and was now able to get the dough ready for Sourdough Cinnamon Raisin Bread and Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls. For dinner we had Ham and Provolone Sliders which I doubled and froze the second batch to have Postpartum. Once our Evening Routine was completed, and Kids were in bed then Sam and I enjoyed another Relaxing Evening. For us this looks like Kids falling asleep quickly after they have been tucked in for the night. Then we are able to talk or watch a show uninterrupted.

Friday

I woke up at 4a dealing with insomnia again. I took the time to prepare my calendar for the upcoming week, and brain dump things I wanted to remember the first few weeks Postpartum. Things such as tasks, budget adjustments, etc. Then I did some reading until I fell back asleep. This was supposed to be another day off for Sam. He ended up going into work to help a sister store due to some issues they had going on. Thus, plans for our day shifted. The Kids and I completed our Morning Routine, then rolled into School, Lunch, and Quiet Time like usual rather than waste the day away.

That afternoon I worked on some more Meal Prep for Baby #7. I had a few helpers for these tasks as my kids love helping get ready for a new baby. 🙂 Finish the Sourdough Cinnamon Raisin Bread by prepping the dough for its second rise, then baking, and freezing the second loaf. We did pass one loaf along to a friend that had requested one a few weeks prior. Finished prep work on the Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls and Icing then froze those in pans to be baked at some point Postpartum. I worked on a few Blog Posts while the Kids enjoyed some lazy TV Time. Before dinner, my Birthing Kit arrived. Woohoo, now we are ready to have this Baby Boy at home! By 630p I went to bed because I was exhausted. Sam handled the Evening Routine with the Kids. At 8p I woke up. Ate a Snack. Cleaned up the Kitchen. Talked with Sam, then read a book until 11p when I went back to bed.

Saturday

This day turned out to be a lazy day for the Kids and myself. We completed our Morning Routine, and the Kids had the rest of the morning to play until Lunch and Quiet Time. During Quiet Time I did some work on Blog to get ahead so I can relax Postpartum and not have to worry about it. That afternoon the Kids had some popcorn and watched a movie until Sam came home. We enjoyed a Relaxing Evening all together.
