My Honest Review of the KiwiCo Subscription Boxes

December 10, 2025 by GrowingConfident Leave a Comment

KiwiCo Subscription Boxes are something our family has been subscribed to for over six years. I honestly don’t remember how we got started, but I stumbled across them when Olivia was around two years old. They looked like something she would enjoy so I decided to give them a try. Over the years, Olivia and the Boys have loved them so much we make it a point to ask Grandparents to continue the subscriptions every year as Christmas Gifts. Here is My Honest Review of the KiwiCo Subscription Boxes after being a customer for numerous years.

Subscriptions for Every Age

No matter who you are wanting to purchase a subscription for there is a KiwiCo Subscription Box for ages Infant to 100 years old. Over the years, we have tried all of the following boxes…

Panda Crate

Advertised for 0- 36 months old. This crate is for Babies and Toddlers to explore and discover. It comes with numerous Toys that are quality and can be passed down to younger siblings. A Board Book is also included.

Koala Crate

Advertised for 3- 6 years old. This crate is for young children to play and learn. It comes with 1- 2 Activities for your child to complete. A Toy to play with and a Book based on that month’s theme.

Kiwi Crate

Advertised for 6- 9 years old. This crate is for elementary age kids to learn Science, Art, and More. One month they could be creating a Stunt Car, and the next your child is using Chemistry to make a Kaleidoscope.

Doodle Crate

Advertised for ages 6- 12 years old. This crate is all about Creating and Crafting. We purchased this for Olivia after we moved from Tennessee, and she had to give up Art Classes for a season. While the crafts were time consuming, as you may have to let some things dry or harden in order to continue the craft she always was pleased with the finished project.

Discounts Available

KiwiCo Subscription Boxes can be pricey. Especially the more Kids you have. The cost of a monthly subscription is around $25. However, Discounts are available. They usually run discounts during Holidays throughout the year. For a New Subscribers just signing up. OR if there is an Influencer you follow that advertises KiwiCo then they usually have a code you can use for a discount. You also get a discount the longer your subscription runs.

Another option for making KiwiCo Subscription Boxes more affordable is changing the frequence at which you receive them. You can sign up for Monthly, Every Other Month, or even Pause when you need to. Maybe during the Holidays, a Move, etc.

Entertaining + Educational

Each KiwiCo Subscription Box contains 2- 3 Activities with the supplies needed. A pamphlet included in each box suggests Additional Craft OR Activity Ideas, Book recommendations OR you can include a Physical Book to your KiwiCo Subscription Box for an additional price. Over the years, the quality of KiwiCo Subscription Boxes has improved, and I am glad to see them continue to make the boxes better and better. My Kids will usually play with the activity they made for hours OR even days afterward.

I also love that Mamas can create a curriculum based on the monthly box themes. I did this when Olivia was much younger and always enjoyed seeing how creative I could be. For example, with a Farm Themed Box you could make a Craft each day whether that be what is included in the Subscription Box or suggested in the additional ideas pamphlet. Read Farm themed books throughout the week. Maybe watch a show or two on a Farm Animal like Awesome Animals and Mini Me over on the Minno Kids App. Sing Old MacDonald Had a Farm. Make a fun Farm themed snack and then plan to visit a petting Zoo to wrap up the week.

My Honest Review of the KiwiCo Subscription Boxes,

These Subscription Boxes are truly enjoyed by my Kids. I love all that they are creating and learning from them as well. If you are looking for gift ideas for a child in your family, then I honestly think you can’t go wrong with a KiwiCo Subscription Box whether you sign them up for a month, three months, OR longer.
