My Honest Review of the Create Your Blog Dream Course

November 12, 2025 by GrowingConfident Leave a Comment

Just over a year ago, I went through the Create Your Blog Dream Course by Lisa Bass of Farmhouse on Boone. For a few years, I had been following her blog and YouTube Channel. I was intrigued to learn that she was able to bring her husband home indefinitely after growing her blog to bring in a full-time income that supported their growing family. Sam and I had dreamed of doing something similar. So, he bought me the course in hopes we could figure out if this was something that could work for our family as well. Considering I am not a techy person and the very thought of everything that creating and growing a blog would entail causes my brain to want to shut down, let me tell you my honest review of the Create Your Blog Dream Course.

Create Your Blog Dream Course is Very Affordable

Before purchasing this course, I researched a few other blog course options. Some courses allowed you to piece together what you needed which kept the cost fairly low. However, if you have no idea what knowledge you may need to create and grow a blog this may not be helpful. Other options cost thousands of dollars with the guarantee their course will have everything you could possibly want. You could even make money within the first 30 days!

Considering at the time our limited income the Create Your Blog Dream Course was a great fit for us. For everything it had to offer I was able to create and learn the steps needed to grow a blog for under $300. Typically, you can find a $50 off discount code to help bring the cost down some more. Which is something I was able to do by signing up and taking the Free Masterclass for the Create Your Blog Dream Course. This free masterclass gives you a basic overview of what the course has to offer. This is a great resource if you want to learn more without purchasing anything just yet.

The Learning is Broken Up

Everything you need to know about the ins and outs of creating and growing a blog is included in this course. The knowledge you need is also broken down into bite size pieces. This helps take the dream in your mind to a money-making reality.

Inside the course you find the information broken down into Modules. The different Modules include… Figuring out what kind of blog to create. Where to begin creating that blog with a platform, colors, fonts, etc. How to write a post. Ways to promote your post on Pinterest. How to use various Social Media platforms to aid in your blog. Different ways to monetize your blog. What to do when you feel burnout or stuck with no growth, and much more!

The Information is Easy to Understand and Implement

How Lisa Bass went about breaking up the Modules and videos within each Module you need to complete is GREAT! It is also VERY easy to understand as she walks you through everything she is teaching you. It is like having a teacher right beside you.

When I took the Create Your Blog Dream Course I was homeschooling my daughter. Had four little boys under the age of 4. One of which was a baby who was a few months old. I was NOT able to dedicate large chunks of time to work through the course. But as you can see by slowly chipping away at it over time, I was able to implement what I learned and now you are reading MY blog. 🙂 Granted I still have a long way to go before I can bring Sam home indefinitely. But hey, slow and steady wins the race!

Makes Blogging Not Seem So Daunting

By breaking down the steps you need to take, you are able to watch a video, then either think over or immediately implement what you have learned. This helps you dream and see the protentional of where your blog could go. It also helps do away with any doubt about whether you could legitimately make money on a blog or if you are wasting your time with the whole endeavor.

Lisa Bass also makes sure to teach you how to structure your time in order to make turning your Blog Dream into a reality. She tells you in one of the videos, “If you treat the Blog like a hobby, you will make hobby money. Treat it like a business and you will make business money.” She talks you through what you might want to try to complete on a weekly basis to see traction. She also shows examples in another video how she fits blogging around her daily life. Even telling you the work schedule she goes by to get her blog tasks done.

Create Your Blog Dream Course Includes Lifetime Membership and Help

When you purchase this course, you can always go back for a refresher if needed. I have done this numerous times since creating my blog and it is VERY helpful. There is also a Facebook Group exclusively for those who have purchased the course. Those in the group are meant to be resources for each other. However, since I don’t have social media, I have not used this tool.

Additional Resources by Farmhouse on Boone

Whether that be on the Farmhouse on Boone YouTube Channel or the Simple Farmhouse Life Podcast. I have gleaned from these platforms on numerous occasions, and the information is SO helpful. Recently I listened to a Simple Farmhouse Life podcast episode. In the episode, Lisa Bass interviewed someone who took the Create Your Blog Dream course over 5 years ago. They chatted about how the woman’s blog was doing today. Creating passive income, and how to go about reaching the dreams you may have for your blog. It really encouraged me to know I CAN do this and make the dreams for MY blog a reality. Curious to listen to that episode?
